Is this really safe without passwords?

Yes. In fact, it’s safer. Most passwords are easily cracked. So we got rid of them. With Hummingbook, you type in your email address, click the secret link we email you, and you’re in. The link is only sent to your email address. And it expires if you don’t click it within 15 minutes.

Should I sign out once I’m done?

It depends. If you’re on on a device that other people use, definitely sign out. However, if your device is password protected and nobody else uses it, you’re probably safe to stay signed in.Remember: Once you sign in on a device (computer, phone, etc), we keep you signed in for a long time unless you explicitly sign out.

Why do I have to sign in again?

There’s a couple reasons this happens: Maybe you signed out. Maybe you’re on a new device (like switching from your phone to your computer). Or maybe we automatically signed you out for security.
